Renewable Energy Fest 2025

It was a pleasure to join as a panelist for two sessions at the Renewable Energy Fest 2025: ✔️ Youth-Led Renewable Energy Transition ✔️ Expert Panel at the Youth Hub I had the opportunity to share my insights and recommendations on how youth can play a transformative role in accelerating the renewable energy transition in Bangladesh. During the sessions, I shared several key recommendations for empowering youth in the energy transition journey: 1. Introduce energy education as a compulsory subject at the school and university levels, similar to Mathematics and English. 2. Enable youth to represent the voices of vulnerable communities, especially women workers from the garment sector. 3. Equip youth with knowledge and skills to understand and engage in climate financing mechanisms. 4. Encourage youth to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to influence policy and drive advocacy initiatives. 5. Create employment opportunities for polytechnic students trained in mechanical and technical fields relevant to renewable energy. 6. Ensure representation and leadership opportunities for rural youth alongside their urban counterparts. 7. Foster youth-led initiatives to raise awareness and advocate for improved occupational health and safety standards.
